Managed Care Nursing Services Supervisor Position (NOT a Hospital Setting)

No filling shifts for call- ins.

Flexible weekday hours for work/life balance.

Work with a team of professional nurses who have autonomy and flexibility to do their jobs.

Job Description: Monday - Friday typical business hours. NO TRADITIONAL DAY-TO-DAY SHIFT COVERAGE.  Supervise an experienced team of RNs in our residential and day service programs. Oversee agency health-related services for a consistent group of adults with a range of developmental disabilities and health issues. 

Implement and monitor nursing quality assurance program to ensure maximum health outcomes for the people supported. Monitor service of the third party nursing service for after hours on-call.   

Develop long term relationships with care team, nurses, families and individuals.

Qualifications: Current NYS License to practice as a Registered Nurse and five years' experience including at least one year of supervisory experience. Current knowledge of managed care coding and reimbursement. Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, and techniques; expense control and purchasing procedures; principles and practices of effective supervision. Required to direct, motivate and evaluate staff; to plan and implement programs; to develop controls to monitor effectiveness of programs; to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

Conditions of Employment: Red Cross Standard First Aid (SFA) Certification/Instructor.
