GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

 Responsible for supervision and oversight of purchasing, accounts payable and all aspects of general ledger work. Ensures the timely and accurate processing of payments, solicitation of bids/quotes and cost analysis of recurring expenses.   Ensures that Ontario ARC is in compliance with Representative Payee and Social Security Regulations. Additional responsibilities include ensuring complete, timely and accurate information for preparation of financial statements, reports, vouchers, cost analysis work and reconciliation of all applicable general ledger accounts

                                                 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • A Bachelor Degree and over five (5) years of accounting experience or comparable with at least one year of supervisory experience. Experience in not-for-profit environment is preferred.
  • Experience using accounting software Microsoft Dynamics GP preferred.
  • Strengths in problem solving, multi-tasking and organizational skills.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet assigned deadlines.
